Privacy Policy
Effective on launch
This policy explains what information michaelocoyne.com collects, how I use it, and the choices you have. The short version: I use your information to help you buy, sell or move, I share it only with the people and tools needed to do that, and I never sell it.
What I collect
- What you give me: your name, email, phone number, and anything you write in a form. Depending on the form, that can include a property address, your timeline, budget, the communities you're considering, or where you're moving from.
- What's collected automatically: basic usage data, such as pages visited, the referring site, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address, and the date and time of visits. This comes from cookies and similar technology.
- What I don't collect: Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, or other sensitive financial data through this site. Please don't send them in a form.
How I use it
- To answer your questions, schedule appointments, and provide real estate services you ask for.
- To send information you request, such as listings, market updates or a relocation guide.
- To keep records my brokerage is required to keep.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To protect the site from spam, fraud and misuse.
Who I share it with
- Service providers that run the site and my business, such as website hosting and database, my client-management system (BoldTrail), scheduling, and email and text messaging tools. They may use your information only to provide their services to me.
- RE/MAX Integrity, my brokerage, for supervision and required recordkeeping.
- People you ask me to connect you with, such as a lender, inspector, title company or another agent. I share only when you ask.
- When the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety.
I do not sell or rent your personal information, and I don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Text messages
If you check the box agreeing to texts, I may text you about your inquiry, appointments, and properties or updates you asked about.
- Frequency and cost: message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Opting out: reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help.
- Not required: agreeing to texts isn't a condition of working with me or of buying anything.
- Never shared: mobile numbers and text messaging opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses cookies to keep it working and to measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me to:
- show you the personal information I have about you,
- correct it,
- delete it, unless I'm required to keep it, for example under brokerage recordkeeping rules, or
- stop marketing emails or texts.
Email mocoyne@michaelocoyne.com or call 541-218-7762. I may need to confirm your identity first, and I'll respond within 45 days. You won't be treated differently for making a request. Every email I send includes an unsubscribe link.
How long I keep it
I keep information as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and brokerage recordkeeping requirements, then delete or anonymize it.
Security
I use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls on the database and CRM. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive financial information through forms.
Children
This site isn't directed to children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
When this policy changes, I'll update the effective date above.
